Day 46 - South to Sydney

Today was moving day. A coach took us from our hotel in Brisbane to the airport, and it was all very straightforward to check in and get through security. It is a concern that my suitcase is getting heavier with each time it is weighed though! Thankfully it is still under the 23kg limit. Just……

I read my book for the short flight, and we arrived in Sydney mid-afternoon (Sydney is an hour ahead of Brisbane). We were all a bit confused where the heat and sunshine had gone when we landed though - it feels like a totally different country here. It was then another coach ride to the hotel, and a bit of a faff to get us all checked in.

By the time I had got myself sorted in my room, I was definitely ready for some dinner. The hotel is close to Darling Harbour, so that is where I headed. I very much enjoyed my ‘fish of the day’, but also very much needed a good walk afterwards as I was rather full.

There were, obviously, geocaches to be found, so I had a cache led tour round the harbour, over the Pyrmont Bridge (home of a particularly excellent cache), and down by the Maritime Museum, where there are lots of interesting boats. I may well try to get to the museum one day, as it looks great.

I was then able to walk back over the bridge and round to the hotel, where I have turned in for the night. I had a lovely catch up with Dad on WhatsApp and shall sleep well now!
