Day 44 - A Chilled Day in the Brisbane Heat
Today has been a warm one here, with the mercury going over 30C. As such, I have taken it pretty easy - I spent a lot of this morning reading my book (by the pool for a bit, and then in the air-conditioned hotel) whilst doing some laundry.
At around lunchtime, I walked to the city centre to take the bus to Mt Coot-tha, with lovely views over the city.

I had a light lunch with a view, and enjoyed the company of some (what I assume to be) turkeys at the same time. They don’t seem too worried about the time of year….
I then had a bit of a wander - not as far as I planned given the heat - before then getting the bus back into town.

This evening was our tour dinner, so in the early evening we walked back down into the centre again, and had a lovely three course dinner. I had crab pate for starter, then barramundi for my main, and brownie for dessert. It was very good food, and nice to chat with various people (although I am feeling very young in the group!). I then got an Uber with some of the others back to the hotel.
