Day 50 - Back Into Austria - Where the Graz Is Greener

I absolutely loved my time in Budapest but it was time to move on this morning.

The train journey to Vienna was entirely uneventful. I read my book, listened to podcasts and stared out the window quite a bit! Once in Vienna I had about half an hour at the station, so went on a mission to find some new insoles for my shoes, as mine were starting to disintegrate. I didn’t think I would succeed in that mission, but I did, and managed to grab a quick bite to eat too.

The journey between Vienna and Graz was delightful. ChatGPT tells me that I was travelling through the Northern Limestone Alps via the Semmering Pass. I definitely enjoyed the views.

Once in Graz, I had a short walk to the apartment I am staying in. I have massively lucked in here, as the apartment is lovely and the hosts have thought of everything. I was, of course, very happy to be able to use a couple of the laundry tablets I have carried from Poland, and am excited that I will be able to have the rest of my Cheerios (also purchased in Krakow!) with some fresh milk in the morning.

I have mainly had an admin evening (and yes, watching some sport!), but did pop into the town for an hour or so to take a look around, find a couple of caches (to keep the streak going!), and stretch the legs.

It seems like a lovely city and I am looking forward to exploring further tomorrow.
