Day 39 - From Warsaw to Krakow
I said goodbye to my lovely Warsaw hotel this morning and caught the train to Krakow. I was quickly reminded why I prefer trains to buses, and had a lovely journey south through Poland, arriving in Krakow early afternoon.
I was feeling a bit sleepy after a really busy few days, so decided to take it easy and went into the Old Town for a leisurely lunch until it was time for me to check into my accommodation.
Arriving at my accommodation was a lovely surprise - I have stayed at a few places claiming to be aparthotels, but this really is an entire apartment - I have a living room and kitchen along with my bedroom.
To celebrate this momentous time, I went straight to a supermarket and bought some supplies for my kitchen and detergent so I can do laundry whilst I am here. I did then allow myself some time in the apartment and had a very much needed nap!
This evening I walked back into the Old Town and into the main square (picking up a few geocaches on the way!). It was absolutely lovely, but I could not get over just how busy it was! It is definitely the most people I have seen in one place in a few weeks.
I enjoyed wandering around, going into a few shops, eating some ice-cream, buying a small soft toy dragon, and then pottering back to my apartment for an early night.
